In Loving Memory of

Laren Stringfellow

Laren Kent Stringfellow, a devoted family man, cherished friend, and steadfast follower of God, was born in Santa Rosa, California, in 1950. On December 29, 2024, Laren passed away peacefully due to heart failure, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and joyful memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew him.

Laren was the son of Vaudie Harley and Wanda Jean Stringfellow, who journeyed from Oklahoma to establish roots in Geyserville and later Healdsburg, California. He is survived by his siblings Rick, Sherryl, and Karen, and preceded in death by his brothers Terry and Maurice. Laren’s deep connection to his family was a constant source of strength and joy throughout his life.

Laren inherited his mother’s incredible confection-making talents, delighting family and friends with homemade candy and his legendary banana ice cream. These sweet treats were a testament to his thoughtfulness and a source of warmth at family gatherings.

A man of unwavering faith, Laren loved God, his family, his church, and its members wholeheartedly. He was married twice, first to Georgia Gallagher, with whom he shared four children: daughter Jennifer, who tragically passed away in 1972, and his adopted sons Pete, Andrew, and Joe Stringfellow. Later, he found happiness with his second wife, Beverley Ruth Stringfellow, who passed away in 2015, and became a devoted stepfather to RuthAnn McDaniel and Walter Turner Jr.

Laren was an athlete who spent his younger years immersed in sports, and this passion followed him into adulthood, where he enjoyed basketball and softball games alongside his brother-in-law Norman Buchignani. He also coached his boys in a variety sports throughout their childhood. He embraced the great outdoors, finding peace and adventure in gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, and metal detecting.

A hardworking and skilled mechanic, Laren began his career at Sears and also helped on the ranch with the family dairy business. His entrepreneurial spirit later led him to co-own AutoPro, an auto repair shop in Santa Rosa. Even after retiring, Laren continued his love for cars, embarking on new adventures driving vehicles for local dealerships across California.

Laren’s life was a beautiful tapestry of faith, love, and dedication. His kind heart, playful spirit, and boundless generosity left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His family and friends will always remember his laughter, wisdom, and the way he made every moment meaningful.

Celebrating the Life of Laren

We warmly invite you to honor and celebrate Laren’s extraordinary life at a memorial service on February 1 at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at Christian Family Fellowship, a place he cherished deeply.
